The Landlord One Loan Program is sponsored by HFA and administered by Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City. It offers low-interest rate loans to owners of properties consisting of five to 20 units. The loans are used to repair and/or renovate apartments to keep properties in habitable condition. Individual landlords, corporations, partnerships, non-profit owners, and cooperative associations are all eligible recipients of the loans.
The maximum loan amount is $20,000 and is offered as a 5-year, one-percent interest rate loan. Loans may be used to eliminate code violations, repair or replace boilers or roofs, make emergency repairs, remove health and safety hazards, upgrade windows and doors, replace kitchen cabinets and bathroom fixtures, repair walls, floors and stoops, purchase new appliances, and other approved repairs or renovations.
