Furman Center Co-Director Testifies at CDBG Hearing

On July 25, Prof. Ingrid Gould Ellen testified in front of a congressional hearing on the future of federal funding for the Community Development Block Grant. Professor Ellen discussed the impact of subsidized housing investment on New York City’s neighborhoods. The hearing, which also featured testimony from Mayor Michael Bloomberg as well as community development organizations and other non-profit and for-profit groups, was part of an ongoing examination of CDBG by the House of Representatives Subcommittee on Federalism and the Census.
