Multifamily Preservation Program (State) (MPP)

The Multifamily Preservation Program (MPP) provides financing for the preservation and improvement of rental properties located throughout New York State. Financing is only available for substantial rehabilitation or moderate rehabilitation of site-specific, multi-family rental housing currently under a regulatory agreement or extended use agreement with New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) or another State, Federal or local housing agency. Funding is reserved specifically for projects located in the City of New York in which all units are restricted to households earning up to 60 percent of Area Median Income (AMI). High priority projects may also be eligible for funding under the Homes for Working Families (HWF) program to supplement maximum awards under this program.
