WEBINAR: NYC Housing & Neighborhood Data 101

News & Events | September 15th 2017

Neighborhood data is critical for understanding local housing and economic trends, identifying community needs, and informing policy conversations. This free webinar training, NYC Housing & Neighborhood Data 101, to take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 3:00-4:00pm ET, will demonstrate how to use the NYU Furman Center’s CoreData.nyc and NYC Neighborhood Data Profiles to explore changing housing and economic trends in New York City neighborhoods.

The webinar training, NYC Housing & Neighborhood Data 101, will walk users through key indicators describing demographics, economic conditions, and housing affordability at the community district level. Researchers from the NYU Furman Center will provide an overview of citywide housing and demographic trends; review tips and tricks on how to use rankings, comparisons, and changes over time to identify and describe potential community needs; and demonstrate how to access local housing data on CoreData.nyc’s Subsidized Housing Database.

This webinar, presented by the NYU Furman Center, is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required.
