Code Compliance Loan Program

The Code Compliance Loan Program provided financing to owners who were unable to obtain loans in the private market for buildings occupied by low-income tenants. The program provided $7,500 per unit at a one-percent interest rate to landlords. However, the loans could only be used for replacing a single major operating system, such as updating the boiler system, or removing existing code violations.
