Access to Home for Medicaid Recipients (MRTL)

In coordination with the New York State Department of Health (DOH), the Housing Trust Fund Corporation (HTFC) offers The NYS Access to Home for Medicaid Program (MRTL); which provides financial assistance to make residential units accessible for low- and moderate-income persons participating in the Medicaid Program and living with a disability. Providing assistance with the cost of adapting homes to meet the needs of Medicaid recipients with disabilities will enable individuals to continue to safely and comfortably live in their residences and avoid institutional care. The eligible unit must be the primary residence of the Medicaid recipient with a documented disability. The Access to Home for Medicaid Program has a secondary goal of lowering health care costs over the long-term.
