NYU Wagner’s Office of Career Services: Professional Development Resources
NYU Wagner’s Office of Career Services (OCS) is committed to assisting Wagner students and alumni in developing, evaluating, and implementing career decisions and plans. From the day classes start, students are encouraged to take advantage of the many services offered through Wagner’s OCS, including:
- Career Directory, Wagner’s on-line database of full-time, part-time, internship, and fellowship postings, as well as access to a list of employers in government agencies, nonprofits, urban planning agencies, international programs, academic institutions and private companies with a public sector focus;
- One-on-One Advisement appointments or walk-in sessions, which are designed to assist students and alumni in identifying their skills, interests, and values as they relate to career objectives and employment choices;
- Career Fairs, Workshops and Events are all great opportunities to expand a student’s knowledge of the field, their pool of professional contacts and refine their job hunting skills and strategies.
Please visit the OCS website for more information on how to take advantage of our services.
Alumni Network
The Wagner experience doesn’t stop with graduation - at NYU Wagner, Alumni stay connected and play an active role in the lives of current and prospective students. They speak on panels, attend networking events, and are involved in advisement and job recruitment. Through the Office of Career Services’ WAG-NET program, members provide one-on-one advice and information about their jobs, organizations, career paths, or knowledge of a particular field, with a goal of fostering professional relationships within the Wagner community.
Alumni stay connected with each other through the Wagner Alumni Association, through regional and industry based affinity groups, as well as by attending, participating in, and planning special events hosted by Wagner throughout the year in New York and other cities across the country. Visit the Alumni Website, or the Calendar of Special events to see what’s in store.
